I re-read the book - very graphic! I understand his diaries are to be published, but in German for the time being. Not sure if they will be translated or not. His are supposed to be the only diaries...

Somebody had to be the "op-for."  Like as not, some of my Croatian relatives were most likely allied with, well, not the "Allies" in WWII.
